OUR FOUNDERS

Rev. Russ and Wendy Tatro are the founders of the ministry in Liberia. It was founded in 1987 with the establishment of the Monrovia Bible Training Center (MBTC); an interedenominational Bble school for the purpose of equipping the saints.

Over the years thousands of students from all works of life have graduated from MBTC. These graduates are now serving the Lord in various capacities in different parts of the globe.

Bro. Russ and Sis. Wendy are Americans but as Bro. Russ used to say, "I was born an American and I had no choice. Now I choose to be a Liberia." In his life and ministry he always exemplified that statement by identifying in very unique ways with those he and his family were called to.

Bro. Russ has joined the great cloud of witnesses in heaven but the heavenly vision and his legacy continues through first and tenth generation disciples.

The original vision as the Lord gave it to Bro. Russ is to take the Word of faith (Romans 10:8) throughout the nation of Liberia through the making of effective disciples. The vehicle for accomplishing the vision was the establishment of interdenominational Bible schools. The Monrovia Bible Taining Center became the flagship of hundreds of Bible schools established in West Africa and throughout the world.
